During the Advent weekends in particular, we recommend traveling to the Rostock Christmas market and for Advent shopping in Rostock city center by public transport, avoiding traffic jams and stress and without the hassle of finding a parking space. Trams and buses operated by Rostocker Straßenbahn AG run at shorter intervals on Fridays from 8 p.m. and at certain times on Advent weekends.
If you are traveling from within the region, we recommend using S-Bahn trains, regional trains, or regional buses, such as the Bäderbus line 121, which runs directly from Kühlungsborn or Bad Doberan to the Deutsche-Med-Platz stop.
If you are traveling by car, we recommend using the P+R facilities, especially on weekends. Coming from the south (BAB A 20 Rostock-Südstadt, L 132 Schwaan), the Südblick car park is recommended. Those coming from the southeast (BAB A 19 Rostock-Süd, B 110 Sanitz) can use the car parks on Tessiner Straße/Katt-un-Mus-Weg and Mühlendamm. Coming from the east (BAB A 19 Rostock-Ost, B 105 Rövershagen), the large parking lot on Dierkower Allee is a good option, and from the west (BAB A 20 Rostock-West/B 103), the Barnstorfer Ring/Groß Schwaßer Weg parking lot.

When driving towards the city center, please pay attention to the dynamic displays of the parking guidance system for available spaces. All parking garages in the city center and along Lange Straße are also accessible during the Christmas market.
